That's great~I'm sure Ryan had a great time showing you his picture and all his friends. I'm glad they included him more in the yearbook.

Patrick has started to spit too~yuck! He really likes to do it when the sun is reflecting just right, especially in the car, and he can see the saliva spray out of his mouth. I'm not loving this phase!

I love those blankets. My friend recently had a baby and I still owe her a gift so I think I will get her one of those. She has a nephew with Ds so she will really appreciate it all the moe. Thanks for posting the link!

Patrick was our 4th and we hadn't officially decided anything but I figured we were pretty much done. Then we decided to go for one more and I got my girl. I truly think having Nora was the best thing for Patrick. They fight like any other siblings but they really seem to have a special bond. We are done now but I wouldn't change my big family for anything!

I think these are feeling we all sruggle with. Now that is is warmer outside Patrick wants to be outside with his brothers and the neighborhood kids all the time. He can't be outside without me because he will go in the street.(So many kids ride their bikes in the street and cross in the middle of the street that he thinks it is ok for him too.) The nieghborhood kids are really pretty good about including him but there are many times when they are doing things that he just can't keep up with and he gets so upset. I do think the differences become more noticable as they get older and this is a heartache we will all have fir our kids at some time or another.
I love the idea of a community where each family has a kid with Ds. All the "typical" kids wouldn't be staring because they already know and love a person with Ds. The other parents wouldn't be giving disapproving looks when our children act out because they have all gone through it. What a wonderful community that would be!

What a wonderful story. My DH is a fireman and none of my kids have had much interest in it. I love that those men have included Mark in their house~they got my vote.
