;D Hi everyone!! Long time no post. Bad, bad Uno Mas'er I spose i'll do a little update for those who are not aware of the goings on in Brooks world. Most everyone here knows the battle I have had w/ Brooks throat. A six yr battle to find and anwser. Well, we finally have an anwser thx to a special ST I called in. Yep, a ST caught this after tuns of doctors did not! Brookster has Achalasia. Just as Leahs daughter Angela has. This is a very rare throat disease. So very rare NO ONE in Oregon will take Brooks case. We have been refered to Seattle Childrens. Just waiting on insurance to approve it. If they deny it, well, i'll be selling everything I own to get her there. The next test they need to do is called an EM procedure and just the little tube/wire thingy they put down her nose/throat is $12,000. Yep, twelve thousand dollars. Holy chit! I have joined an FB group about Achalasia. All adults. But that is ok b/c i'm learning ALOT from them. They can tell me things Brookster can't. Quite and eye opener, for sure. My poor kid. They all just can't believe a six yr old has to deal with this. Her nurse and I are convinced that Brook just thinks this is "normal" and has learned to deal w/ it. Breaks my heart!! In other news... Brooks b-day was Friday. The big SIX. My goodness!! I haven't got her 6 yr old pics yet. When I do i'll be sure to share

Yes friends, I have been thinking alot. I figured I had to come ask the experts ;D So, Brook is in Kindy, no classroom aide just an aide for lunch/recess. (Great lady and even slides down the side and swings ;D Super nice and will always take the time to talk to me and is now learning to not take any guff off of Brook!) I have given it a few months now and i'm at a bump in the road. So Brook has decided she wants to give her lunchroom helper a hard time when lunch is over. ! Does not want to leave lunch. I can't blame her I pack a mean lunch HA! J/K So at first I thought ok, no recess then, but recess is before lunch. So now i'm thinking, fine then, have everyone else leave and go back to class so she will be all by herself in the lunchroom, just her and helper. What do you think? She is doing well in all other areas but this, as far as behavior goes, so thats good. I'm also thinking Brook might need a aide in the class. I have been volunteering for an hour in the morning and 2 hrs in the afternoon M,W,F. I watch all the kids, not just Brook. In fact I try to not be around Brook so I can see what she is doing. She can do said task but maybe if there was just someone there to keep her focused adn maybe help a little, she would do it just that much better and be more at peer level..... ramblings of a tired Momma. BTW, brook won Eagle of the Month at school today. Happy ;D
