I had a great Christmas with my family. We always drive down to my sister's place. She lives a really small town, a village it is called. The whole village is one very long street. My sister loves it there as well as my oldest niece. She has five girls. We had a great Christmas. We open all the presents on Christmas Eve. We also have some of my sister's friends which includes her boss and family. It was a quiet Christmas. I am really blessed. I think of the day when I will not have my parents. I know I will be living with my sister. I know, a sad thought but, I can't help it. Anyway, I am very blessed. I hope all had a wonderful Christmas on here. I hope to be on here more often. ................Debbie

Dawn, I am sorry this happened to you. I would definitely make several copies one for you and one for the board of education. Maybe one for the principal as well. She needs to know that her remarks were out of line. You are a good parent and deserve equal treatment for your son. Think seriously about this and make a plan on how to speak to the Board of Education about this.......The Other Debbie

Claire, I am so proud of you! I think you are doing the right thing and if I could I would be there fighting along with you. You keep up the good fight and keep us updated on what happens with the media. I will be watching and seeing if our media picks up on the story. Adam's story has the right to be heard. Keep it up! I am the same Debbie with another sign in name. I had to re-register a while back ago.................Debbie

I agree Jackie. I can see a certain maturity in her as she spoke in the interview. She sounded wonderful! I was so proud of her. You tell I said that. Does she still remember me?............Debbie

I like to shop, but not that much! It has been too cold here. I would rather shop at my usual pace. Ask Jackie, she will tell you. ;D Debbie

I am thankful for many things in my life. I don't know if could type them all down but, here are a few: I am thankful for my wonderful family that keeps me grounded, I am thankful for the freedom to be who I am, I am thankful of many memories of those who have passed on, I am thankful for a wonderful boy-friend, I am thankful for the ability to read and write and most of all I am thankful for those that care for me. Thank you! .............Debbie

What a great story. My Mom met a lady who had an adult daughter with Down syndrome when I was just a toddler. Her name was Virginia. She was such a wealth of information and support for my Mother. This was back in the sixties. I think she may have passed on by now, but, she was wonderful as a companion and inspiration for my Mom. Virginia's daughter lived with her for a very long time. Much later though she moved into a group home and really liked living there..........Debbie
