I don't have many pictures, but here we are on Halloween. What a horrible mommy, I didn't get a good one of Reina on her first Halloween. I'll have to check with the rest of the paparazzi (I mean family) to see if they have one. You can't see it too well, but Reina's outfit is of a skeleton.

Very interesting. I would be interested to know what their findings are once their research is completed.

Caught about two minutes of it on TV this morning, am definitely planning to watch it in its entirety.

I just saw that there is an 8-week Baby Signing Time class offered in my city for $97, but of course it is during the week. Sure wish I could stay home with the girls and didn't have to work.

I love the video Jennifer, especially at the very end...she could become a Signing Times spokesperson! I went ahead and ordered from Best Buy, they are on backorder. You have all convinced me...guess I was an easy one.
In somewhat related news she had her hearing test a few weeks ago, something I had been worried about since she was born. They had tested the poor girl several times and could never get a clear answer on whether or not she had any hearing loss. They finally had to sedate her to make sure she was in a solid sleep. She passed! All of these months I had been wondering if when I was talking to her, if she could actually hear me.
I am looking forward to the videos, yet another language to learn in our home! Violet is learning Spanish with her grandma during the day (as will Reina), Reina will be learning sign language, now I've got to do some learning as well. I guess we're going to have a tri-lingual household!

Thank you for the update Jennifer, I have been thinking about Char all day after seeing some news of this on FB. So sad, she will be very missed. Thoughts and prayers for Char and her family.

Okay, here is what might be a naive question. I have heard a lot of mention about sign language and Signing Times, is this something that all children with DS should and/or need to learn? Or I imagine that it depends on their speech abilities; therefore, perhaps I won't know if Reina needs it until she's a little older?

I am no scientist, but I would think that having someone with DS might actually be beneficial and help the study. Keeping you and Emily in my thoughts.

Wow, I absolutely love it! How lucky Brook & Mary are to have each other!! I'm still trying to figure out how to get used to the pity & ignorance.
