First off Hi Carolyn ;D, I think we were still in the same district then. Justin's first 3yr eval happened the same way, although at first it was looking like it wasn't going too well, Justin would have no part of listening to the psychologist but once the man stopped pushing and asking Justin to do things Justin went afterwards and did the things he was asked to do earlier but when he wanted to do it grrrrrrrrrr little snot . We do have his 3 yr eval coming up May 11th, I was reluctant to do the psychological eval but then I was thinking maybe with the results I can somehow get things changed a little in the class he is in. He is in a split class, 5 kindy and 6 1st graders. Now I have noticed that the 1st graders do do alot more than the kindy kids and are given additional attention which I don't like, and they go out more well they get to out to places and the kindy kiddos don't. His teacher at one point sent home a permission slip for me to sign so they could strap him in a chair during academic time, yes I refused to sign it, 1st off I have observed the class on several occasions and well basically there is no academic time, such as working on colors, numbers, shapes, alphabet etc. So when the testing time gets here and the scores reflect these deficits I will be right there to point out the reasons, of course nicely and politely . We work on these things at home why not at school. But all in all where he is at is a WHOLE lot better than bringing him back to our home district.

We use it here too (Michigan). We actually posted our trailer on there and we ended up selling it 3 days later for the full price. We have also posted other things on there as well. Hubby found an awesome 4 wheeler like brand new really cheap on there too. Good luck

The Price of Children > > This is just too good not to pass on to all. Something absolutely positive for a change. I have repeatedly seen the breakdown of the cost of raising a child, but > this is the first time I have seen the rewards listed this way. It's nice. > > The government recently calculated the cost of raising a child from birth to 18 and came up with $160,140 for a middle income family. Talk about sticker shock! That doesn't even touch college tuition. But $160,140 isn't so bad if you break it down. It translates into: > > * $8,896.66 a year, > * $741.38 a month, or > * $171.08 a week. > * That's a mere $24.24 a day! > * Just over a dollar an hour. > > Still, you might think the best financial advice is don't have children if you want to be "rich." Actually, it is just the opposite. > > What do you get for your $160,140? > * Naming rights. First, middle, and last! > * Glimpses of God every day. > * Giggles under the covers every night. > * More love than your heart can hold. > * Butterfly kisses and Velcro hugs. > * Endless wonder over rocks, ants, clouds, and warm cookies. > * A hand to hold, usually covered with jelly or chocolate. > > * A partner for blowing bubbles, flying kites > * Someone to laugh yourself silly with, no matter what the boss said or how your stocks performed that day. > > For $160,140, you never have to grow up. You get to: > * finger-paint, > * carve pumpkins, > * play hide-and-seek, > * catch lightning bugs, and > * never stop believing in Santa Claus. > > You have an excuse to: > * keep reading the Adventures of Piglet and Pooh, > * watching Saturday morning cartoons, > * going to Disney movies, and > * wishing on stars. > > * You get to frame rainbows, hearts, and flowers under refrigerator magnets and collect spray painted noodle wreaths for Christmas, hand prints set in clay for > Mother's Day, and cards with backward letters for Father's Day. > > For $160,140, there is no greater bang for your buck. You get to be a hero just for: > * retrieving a Frisbee off the garage roof, > * taking the training wheels off a bike, > * removing a splinter, > * filling a wading pool, > * coaxing a wad of gum out of bangs, and coaching a baseball team that never wins but always gets treated to ice cream regardless. > > You get a front row seat to history to witness the: > * first step, > * first word, > * first bra, > * first date, and > * first time behind the wheel. > > You get to be immortal. You get another branch added to your family tree, and if you're lucky, a long list of limbs in your obituary called grandchildren and great > grandchildren. You get an education in psychology, nursing, criminal justice, communications, and human sexuality that no college can match. In the eyes of a child, you rank right up there under God. You have all the power to heal a boo-boo, scare away the monsters under the bed, patch a broken heart, police a slumber party, ground them forever, and love them without limits, So . . one day they will, like you, love without counting the cost. That is quite a deal for the price!!!!!!! > > Love & enjoy your children & grandchildren > > > > May your troubles be less; > Your blessings more; > And nothing but happiness > come through your door!

For the most part here in Southeast Michigan it's 2.99 but there are a few that have it at 2.85. There was some talk that the Govenor was going to lift the state tax on gasoline.

Well having 2 girls who just LOVE to do nails equals quite a few accidents on the carpet. I used the white foam shaving cream, not the gel stuff, spray it on the carpet, rub it in a little bit and let sit for a couple of minutes go back in with a damp rag and poof it was gone ;D

Well Alice I'm still here ;D. I have been rather busy we just got my 13 year old nephew here and will probably be going for custody here shortly. So between Justin's appointments and now my nephews it is getting very busy to say the least. I know from the past sometimes it is just that there is always a stretch of posts that some just don't have anything to add or offer advice on at least that is what it seems to me. And right now with school still just barely in session at least here it is I know we are still trying to work out the kinks in Justin's IEP and with a change in the State's ins. we are now having to fight for things they want to take away. But I have to say UNO is the first stop of my day and always will be ;D

Hmmmmmmm Ms. Emily bored already lol. Ok honestly though been there done that with Alyssa although it was much easier because the teacher was with us all the way. Our solution the teacher just gave her worksheets and other work borrowed from the 1st grade teacher also when Alyssa finished her work, the teacher had her help the other kids in class. With that said you have to make the teacher realize that with Emily being bored there may be some behavioral problems that may arise such as excessive talking, fidgeting etc. not to mention stifling the poor girls education. Although when the following grade came around kindy to first same problem but again additional work and helping others. Good luck
