I am still sending TONS of prayers to you , Noah, and your Father...I agree with everyone else, I would get that second opinion or even a third...Never take no for an answer, and never let the doctors tell you anything..I found that with as many as we saw within that first year of Kourtney's life that basically telling them "someone will take care of this you or my attorney" they listened better. I truly hope that things pick up for you...

My son Nicholas was born with 4 holes in his heart, again, ASD/VSD, mitral pro-lapse, and the PDA never closed after birth. Last summer, at 3, he had open heart surgery to correct the problems...and he is doing wonderfully. It has HELL (can I say that on here?) but he came through it...as we did. We live in Houston and have the Baylor College of Medicine at our disposal. I felt confident going in that he would have the best care available, and that's what we got. Please know that my prayers are with you and your little one. I just wanted to say that we had similiar struggles, and these little guys are so very tough. God will bless him!!

Lauren had AV Canal Cushing Defect. She had surgery at 4 months old and today is a happy healthy and very active 5 year old. She was also premature and stayed 21 days in the hospital at birth. We were not sure about her survival but a wonderful physician at Texas Childrens did a great job on her.
Many prayers for both of you.

i was looking at a pic of stan the other day BEFORE his AVSD ops. he looked terrible. he CAN look terrible when he's ill now and we always hold our breath about his health - but often he's looked great and i cannot believe that the surgeon and his staff at great ormond street saved my son's life. he and his brother and just such fun. we thought stan was going to die. keep faith (that's difficult to do - because we found it difficult to believe he would survive)
