Morning all,
My daughter, Megan, is due on December 12. The sonogram says "girl", so we been racking our brains trying to think of a name. She has a daughter who is 2 1/2 yrs. old, named Victoria Rose. We loved that name right away, but are having a hard time choosing another girls name. Megan has a few in mind...tell me what you think...or feel free to add your own ideas.
1. Emma Noelle 2. Angelina Marie 3. Gianna Marie 4. Tierney 5. Nadia Jean 6. Eliza Jean 7. Savannah Rae 8. Addison Marie Thanks..."Grandma" Dolly

Dolly, 1 & 2 of course have a touch of the holiday season in them...as does Natale or Natalie (Or Meri ;-) Somehow, I like Savannah with Victoria, but she could switch it to Rose & have them share a middle name. (Nothing against Rae there A,LOL!) Somwhere I have a book that's called something like "The psychology of names", it's lost in the shuffle of our move but I think you can look it up online. It classifies Victoria as a girly-girly name & the author cautions against pairing those with androgenous names (like Addison,Bailey, or Jordan) with a sibling because it can lead to impressions of how a child "should" be. I thought it was interesting reading.Keep us posted ! Suzi

I like 1,2,3,4 and 7... I loooove Tierney and would consider that if I ever had another girl. I also like Emma (or Emily) Faith - which is what Matthew would have been had he not been born with boy parts <g> Sophie/Sophia are pretty too, I think. I'm sure there are more if I could remember right now. I also like the Kira, Kylie, Kayla names. And Ava & Eva. Only problem w/ Emma/Emily is it's the #1 or 2 most popular name right now. I had to laugh when I read your post because MY daughter Meghan was BORN on December 12th!!

I like Emma Noelle or Gianna Marie. I teach music and have about 400 students. I have taught a lot of kids in my time but have never taught a Gianna. I like it! Savannah has become fairly common.

I of course love my daughters name...Elayna Marissa. You can spell it Elena or Elaina..
If my son was a girl....i was going to be real corny and have it rhyme with Elayna..so I would have used Rayna or Jayna.....but ....he's a boy so it's Daniel.
Let us know what she chooses!!

I love all the names they have chosen. They're so pretty and feminine! Has your daughter considered continuing with the tradition of her firstborn by naming the middle name after a flower? There are so many beautiful flower names out there...Jasmine, Iris, Lilly, Holly, Violet, and my personal favorite, Daisy. Just a thought! Jenifer, mom to Joy Daisy

I love the flower idea!! When my daughter Elizabeth was born, several of my sisters called her Lily. I loved it, but when she got old enough to say, she said she hated Lily, so we stopped calling her that. But I too wished I had named both my girl flower names- they are warm and sweet names. Other than that, I always like Irish names, so Tierney woud be my favorite.
