thanks bob, good to know! we have got molly to #2 in the T (liked that shaking the T hand sign to her...we do that too) and have noticed changing the request from "going potty" to "go to the toilet" helped alot.....was told to do that by another mom (she's a big girl now), and by the autism tech ( we have to be very literal with our kids) we schedule a reminder every 2 hours now for #1?-she knows and will go if thinking about it, but if she's involved with something on TV? or a toy? she's not interrupting any entertainment. Molly just turned 10 and i DO have to listen to her gripe at me with her made up language. I don't understand the words, but i do get the attitude!
edited to welcome you back...i have been away for awhile too...still dealing with this other diagnosis, and trying to find some common ground. Autism changes alot of plans.

I am just sick over the whole thing...these were suppose to be my guys...Rahm works so hard, and seems so intelligent...a real leader, the go-to guy, the man you want your sons to look up to.
but
If they are both comfortable in using this kind of language...they are not my guys anymore...i wrote a letter to the white house tonight about those feelings.
whats worse?
Rush Limbaugh coming to the defense of the govt he lamblasts daily...they have the RIGHT to use the word!! and then he used it 4 more times, in degrading fashion, to prove his point.
Sooooo the man that boast 100, 000 listeners....and the top two in the white house think that it's ok to speak in this manner.
I'm sick that all of us together could not make a dent in the public damage that happened TODAY, if we had a whole year. Sick that these guys are making it "ok" with the general population to be this "larry the cable guy" ignorant. Sick that THIS is the underlying reason that 90% of these beautiful children do not make it to birth.
Too sick to fight. I'm just so sad.

His show is this weekend, i think
He is pretty country funny and since i also was raised in Nebraska, and spent most of my time on a hog farm, I've always thought it was neat he made it to the kind of fame he has....
until he starts ridiculing people with different abilities.
I'm thinking, that maybe it's time a write a letter to the editor to print this week....maybe touching on the "R" word campaign, and how it's JUST NOT ACCEPTABLE, even if you're famous and think you're funny, to ridicule our children.
Or should i just keep my pie-hole shut...cuz that's what the majority of this small town is going to think.
What do yall think?

actually...it sounds pretty typical...
i have a girlfriend here, who is a member of a family run funeral home. She says some of the people that are attending that you don't recognize? undercover law enforcement, just standing by, because THIS can be the MOST volitile of family gatherings.
Good Luck to you...there is a special place in Heaven for friends like you, you know? We are so sorry for the loss of this child......that should be the focus of the devistation!

if it was up to me...NONE of my kids would drive!! HOlee MOlee!! I had to give up being in the passenger seat, and just send them down the gravel roads behind our house! IT WAS HORRIFYING!! I actually ENLISTED instructors (illegal by missouri standards) to help with the situation!! (one of the perks of being married to the patrol)
Shauna is still the worst driver in the US (actually drove OVER a parking block at her driving test)...but lives in DC, where she doesnt need to...and the boys both drive better than me!
Molly is already anxious to get behind the wheel.....UGH! Hope her sibs can convince her it isn't her...IT'S ME!!

Any of us that have dealt with all the medical issues that can surround our kids, know when enough is enough....to this day, if i kept every maintenence exam with molly and her specialists....we would be in one dr's office every other week!!
There came a point when we also said ENOUGH!! she was alot younger...but we really wanted to spend some time getting to know our daughter...plus the fact that as a young child, she could recognize the parking lot of ANY physician/hospital, and go BALLISTIC before we were parked!
;-)
you're in our prayers

social services at the hospital is the way to go...these people know the ins and outs of finding a good suppliment to cover the 20%, if he doesn't have one thru part D.
in missouri, we have Sr Rx...which is like medicade that picks up the rest...your state should have something like that, too....it will cause you some shifting of funds, and a mountain of paperwork, but the end result is no worries about payments, and peace of mind financially, so that you can deal with the tasks at hand.
Our relay was last night...and I'm a prayer warrior at carepages for our little ones dealing with this beast. I am so sorry you have to walk this path with your papa....the beast SUX!
In our prayers,

LMAO! Computers! go figure!!

eileen miller wilson is where you'll find me!
I havent' posted any nursing pics..but i was one of THOSE MOMS....a child of the hippy era... i think some things were meant to be used, and on demand. There are LOTS of pics of me and the babies....i shot up a roll once (pre-digital) trying to capture that 'look' that a baby gives you when they hook up. That "all is right in the world-and you are my world, mommy" look...and never could properly capture it.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh memories...i MISS my BABIES!!

A New Year's Eve Prayer
God grant us this year a wider view, So we see others' faults through eyes of You.
Teach us to judge not with hasty tongue Neither the adult...nor the young.
Give us patience and grace to endure And a stronger faith so we feel secure.
Instead of obsessing, help us forget The irritations that caused us to fret.
Freely forgiving for some offense And finding each day a rich recompense.
In offering a friendly, helping hand And trying in all ways to understand;
That all of us whoever we are ... Are trying to reach an unreachable star.
For the great and small...the good and bad, The young and old...the sad and glad
Are asking today: Is life worth living? The answer is only in, loving and giving.
For only Love can make man kind And Kindness of Heart brings Peace of Mind.
By giving love, we can start this year To lift the clouds of hate and fear.

warmed my heart...sent it to my teachers because SOMEBODY found that young man's voice, and nurtured it to perfection.
Merry Christmas!
