In regards to feeding Jack.... we had a hard time getting Chase to use his hands too, so we picked things that we thought he would love at first, a cheeto, a cookie, a cracker and then we added other things, like bites of pbj's and finally we got him tot ouch friuts and veggies cut up, but he was a still is not fond of the weird textures in his hands. hugs, Robin ;D

He LOVES to read and has a reading level of a beginnng second greader, yea Chase!!! ;D He also loves monster trucks, nintendo, looking at photos, riding his bike (with training wheels) watching videos and playing in the sandbox. He is one in a million and the cutest kid ever! (LOL did I mention that is when he is sleeping?) He lives in Michigan with me, ( Robin) his dad Dave, and little brother Zachary age three. He also has two grown brothers, Mike 25, and David 22, who live in their own houses and he is a uncle to two nephews and soon to be a third time. He has two dogs, Bailey a HUGE yellow lab anbd the new addition is Chloe, our new pup. We are going to be coming to Ohio to hopefully meet lots and lots of new friends! hugs, Robin

Chase has sensory issues with eating also but his didnt start til he was about three. He wouldnt eat a casserole for nothing! Lots of other things too but it has gotten ALOT better with age. He was so thin, I was worried about him all the time also, he wighted 48 pounds at age 10 but alas, he now is 12 and weighs 89 pounds! I think I would take him in for a check up just to be sure there is nothing wrong, our kids are so not good at telling us when they are in pain or something is wrong. And if everything checks out okay, just feed him alot of his favorites and eventually he'll break or you'll be really good at baking his favorite cake I'll cross my fingers there is nothing wrong and it will go away as fast as it came on. hugs, Robin

Wow A... I had no idea there was so much out there about warts!! Thanks bud for the info, I wil pass it on to her. Sounds like her guy has the cluster kind doesnt it? She got the cream from a pediatrician but is afraid to use it because it is so close to the eyes. I guess the other option is to let them alone and they will just go away on their own. huggers, Robin

I have a friend with a son w/ DS He has developed what the doctor calls warts on his face under his eyes. She says he has about 10 to 15 of them and they look like little whiteheads. Her doctor said it is fairly common. Has anyone heard of these before? He gave her cream to put on them but she doenst feel comfortable putting it on him I think because they are so close to his eyes. Any one know about this form of warts? hugs, Robin

Chase too cant handle heat at all. He gets sick and acts almost as if he is having a heat stroke, scares the beejeesus out of us every time it happens. We now just try to keep him cool and give lots and lots of liquids when he is out. Robin

Hi Angie!!! Chase's next appt is next Friday so cross your fingers for us. I am trying to wean him off of everything except the abilify and then add ADHD medication. I am going to print out your post and take it to the dr and ask him to perform the same tests...... this boy is 11 and I am tired of waiting for success. I know, I just know..... deep down inside there is a sweet adorable little angel just waiting to come out (ok so he isnt so little any more, LOLOL) ;D I'll keep Jordan in my prayers that you get all the answers you need too!!!!! The part about the boob job makes me think you have great patience as I may have entertained thoughts of a punch in the doctor's nose to calm me after that kind of comment!!!!! I talk to myself alot these days to get me thru doctor visits..LOLOLOLOL and school conferences...... ;D ;D ;D I repeat as many calming quotes as I can find because I really have to wonder if there are no better doctors then the ones I have been dealing with. If I hear another doctor say "I understand it is difficult with Chase like this on the medication, but these things take time, it is a slow process, it has only been 10 months"...I am going to scream!!!!! Hugs, Robin

Angie... Hi! Chase recently quit taking geodon and is now taking ABILIFY and guess what? No more sleeping all day, it is so cool! We are now in the process of weaning him off of depokote as I think the cons to it outweigh the pros. (he has gained 40 pounds from this stuff making him starving all the time since August) I realize he is going to need something but that is not the answer for us. I am hoping to just try Abilify and Aderrall, who knows, I may be wrong in my thinking it might work, I've been wrong before. We have Chase's IEP tomorrow and they want him to go to a center school (not a chance here as it is an awful place) because of his bizarr behaviors Your results from Jordan's tests amazed me, where did you take her to get them to do these kind of test and what were the tests called can I ask? I am think Chase should have this done and we are now trying a new pych for him who seems pretty opion minded so maybe he will agree to these blood tests if I can tell him what they are called. And did I understand that the way to solve this is with vitamins? That would just make me oh so happy to have this child off of all the drugs he is on!!!!! Sorry to ask you so many questions but I am at a loss here and so tired of hearing people say they have no idea how to deal with or treat Chase's problems. I never thought mood disorders could be so complicated! take care, Robin
