But...it is...another birthday...this time Rmily's 29th. You all have always been helpful with suggestions. As I told you I have ordered her business cards for her art program and they should arrive here tomorrow. I plan to get a nice case for her purse too for them. Since we will be in Vegas I need 'smallish' gifts that will fit in her bag to go home. I don't need to spend a ton of money on these...the trip alone is the main gift but of course she wants someting to unwrap. Marnie asked her if she would rather have presents to unwrap or money to play with...and wisely she said..."how about...BOTH" ;D. I found a neat leather 'cause' bracelet at the grocery store that says...SUPPORT THE ARTS (2.99!!)...so I have a nice start. I need to get out and see what the latest 30 something fashions look like too. She can always use a new top. But if any of you have seen anything cool or new on the market let me know. Sometimes she uses these things and sometimes she just likes to RECEIVE them...ya never know.
Since Ed is not going he is sending her an iPod docking station that she can plug into her alarm clock. She LOVES glamour type magazines but she wont discard them ...ever so hate to add to that stash.
Jackie

CC ...too funny...I love the mug ...is it from Cafe Press? As to the wall mural...she already has a 8 ft tall Jack Sparrow...LOL. I don't know if I ever posted the story about Tony my son in law trying to get it thru the parking lot at the mall on a windy day for a birthday several years ago... ;D I would think by now that the "Jack" thingy would have worn off...however at HER request we ARE staying at Treasure Island in Vegas (When we could have gotten suites for the same price at the Venetian And BTW as I post this I am hearing on NBC a story of women who have lost their jobs applying for jobs as strippers in Vegas...anyone dare ME!?

How much do strippers make in Vegas, Jackie ;D Summer is coming, maybe some gardening gloves and flower seeds. She's an artist - painting supplies are always welcome gifts in our family. Has Em ever tried painting on porcelain? Supplies for that to go with a class would be fun. There are lots of silly pirate things in the gift shops at Treasure Island, too. You might want to just bring some wrapping paper or gift bags for that sort of thing. Have fun! I can't believe she's turning 29

Jackie, I just want you to know that you are an inspiration to me. Being a young mother to a ds infant, you give me little glimpses of what John is capable of. I just know you will find the perfect gift for your young lady. BTW, John's birthday is today. He is 1. Gotta post it!!

if she has an iPod, an iTunes gift card might be fun! I asked for one for Christmas AND my birthday and no one listened! I like lots of little things to open too. The new sharpie pens are fun. I have to agree, you and Emily have been big inspirations to me! I can't stop dreaming of what wonderful things Kaelyn will do when she gets older! I hope she is as witty, cute, and successful as Emily! Happy Birthday Emily!
