Alaska Gov. spoke to anti-abortion group yesterday. Can't get a link direct to the clip I want but if you take this link edition.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/04/17/palin/#cnnSTCVideo and then click on the "Palin chokes up" video, you can see and hear her talking about birth of Trig. Also, sounds like the governor and her husband and Trig were supposed to go to some support group for breakfast this morning, but Trig stayed home because he has the sniffles. Hope it's just sniffles and he's better soon. -- Bob

And not to open a rather large can of worms, my comment on the List concerning this news, "I still like the idea that you can support, promote, advocate for people with Down syndrome without being opposed to legal abortion and the right thereto. But maybe some people wouldn't agree with that, maybe others just wouldn't understand." Fact of the matter is that the vast majority of abortions performed in this country have absolutely nothing to do with Down syndrome nor any other birth defect. But if Gov. Palin can get some attention, awareness, good press for Down syndrome, great, I'm all for it. -- Bob

"I still like the idea that you can support, promote, advocate for people with Down syndrome without being opposed to legal abortion and the right thereto. But maybe some people wouldn't agree with that, maybe others just wouldn't understand." Bob I totally get what you mean and although Sarah Palin is No for abortions which is FINE, she in her speech said for a fleeting moment she thought of it. That to me is where Choice comes in to play BUT with that being said YES I agree anyone that advocates for ones with DS is GOOD in my book CC~
