Okay - Jenn's post got me thinking about how Ryan does this thing where he shushes people and noises, and even himself! I wondered if it was a control thing or a hearing thing.
If we are in the car and dh starts talking, Ryan will shush him. If I pop my gum (yes, that is annoying!) he will shush me. A couple of nights ago during story time, Ryan's furniture creaked, and he shushed that too. Sometimes it is constant, other times he doesn't do it at all. Strange, huh?! He doesn't shush a fart noise though! That still makes him laugh - such a boy!
Does anybody else go through this?

Kaelyn will "ssshh" but I don't think she knows what it means, because she is never quiet!

Clarice still does this, but mainly to people. She does it when she's trying to formulate what she's going to say. She seems to need the quiet to concentrate & rehearse what she's going to say before she says it.
