Fellow mom..needs answers, or just lots of prayers

Ok I just got home from visiting a friend at the hospital, her son has DS and is very sick. He has had 3 surgerys on his blessed little heart. The last one he had a pace maker installed. He is on multiple medications including blood thinners. At 2 years old He is sooo beautiful! To know him is like knowing a class clown ;D ;D... LOL His mom... she is sooo wonderful, so friggin strong! she is funny too, always has a funny story or something. Please pray that the doctors can find a reason for his sickness. They say his heart looks great! His lungs are not so good, and something is attacking his blood cells. They tested for cancer, among other things, and everything has come back negative... Thank GOD! He is still very sick, and I am just praying that they find a answer so they can fix him and they can go home and live a normal life and he can go to school someday and be that class clown!
I was wondering... write me a private message if you can get your kiddos to make a picture or a get well card for him and i will take them to them... Ill send an address, that would be awesome! I think it would really cheer my friend up!

Has anyone heard anything? I have many cards and pics for this little guy from kids and friends kids who also have DS, but no address and no name. I hope he's doing well... and I kinda feel like a doof for asking my friends kids to do this now. If anyone knows where to send them, could you let me know?

I am soooo sorry i havent got on the net in a few days... update Gideon seems to go back and forth with his oxygen levels... right now he is on the highest level before they put him on a breating tube. He is an amazing fighter... he has seen a few near experiences and doctors have given up all hope, and miracullasly he comes out and in as little as a week is home!!! so far not this time, but i have my money on him!!! His mom is home sick, or atleast she was Sunday. The responses we got was amazing and i cant wait to bring any and all the cards we can to him! He is @ emmanual but his last name is hard to pronounce let alone spell... his moms name is marriah and she is doing this practially alone with some support from her family and close friends... this is still a surprize to her so thanks so much again! You can se gideon on youtube if you look up down syndrome gideon.... tons and tons of beautiful videos of this fighter!

Well thank you for your post sugarbabymarlena! This is Marriah, Gideon's mommy, hello everyone, I am new here and I just want to thank you all personally for all your thoughts and prayers!!!! Yes, my son Gideon has been through a lot, 3 open heart surgeries and a surgery to place a pacemaker and he's only two years old. The last surgery was really scary and he has had a lot of complications since. He got fungal endocarditis (infection in his heart) his lungs were also infected and he developed pulmonary hypertension and hemolytic anemia. So he is in the hospital still becuase he is on a ventalater (breathing machine) they had to put him to sleep and put him on the ventilater to do an endoscope look at his heart, which they found out his heart valve may be infected also and it is causing it to detach and that is why he is anemic, blood is going in places it shouldnt be so thats the scoop for now, Ill keep you all posted!

oh yeah, he is still on the ventilater becuase of his poor lung condition, so that is why we are still in the hospital, just waiting for him to be able to start breathing on his own. He also has been having fevers so please, I ask for all your continued prayers for my baby boy to get healthy and come home soon. thank you,

I will continue to pray for Gideon, he sounds like he has been through so much! Poor little guy! I watched some of your youtube videos of your little man, he is so cute! I hope that the doctors can work on fixing him now that they know what's wrong. You will both be in my prayers.
