Hi, Thank you so much. I decided to check in and see how things are going in Uno land and saw this post! I will give you a brief update...Courtney is now 7 1/2 and in 1st grade. She is mainstreamed. Starts her day in class with her classmates and she is pulled out for reading & math to the resource room, for ST 2 times a week and the OT will be coming into class at writing time to help Courtney 1 time a week. She is doing very well. Reading simple books, knows many site words and is talking up to 4 word sentences. Doing well with writing. She is struggling with math, and at times not following directions in school, mostly with transitioning. Her teacher is wonderful and is rewarding Courtney when she makes the right decisions right away so she get feedback for good behavior. I will post pics later. I am a volunteer at Courtney's school and today they are having a volunteer breakfast at 8am, so I don't have much time. Can't forget this...She also has an imaginary friend Max...from Max & Ruby on Noggin that seems to be with us more and more lately School, shopping hmmmm. Not to happy about it, I have to say. Thanks so much for remembering my birthday. It was a very sweet surprise! Valerie C.

We also have an imaginary friend (my son is also 7 1/2) and it's also from Max and Ruby - Louise!!! This just started a week or two ago for us. Is this something we should be concerned about? I don't know if I should encourage it, discourage it or ignore it? What do you think?

Max is hanging out here with Alison too!!! Sometimes I think that Max is around so that Alison has a chance to boss someone else around since her sisters both tend to be very bossy towards Alison. I'm not particularly concerned about it although so far this hasn't been an issue at school, just at home. If Max starts going to school with Alison, well, not too sure what to do then.
I know my oldest had an imaginary friend "Wanda from Canada" for a couple of years. Wanda went everywhere! Funny thing was on one of our trips over to Niagara Falls, Canada with friends, Caitlin went running up to this girl in her early 20's calling her Wanda! The girl's name was actually Wanda!!! Even funnier was that "Wanda from Canada" was never heard from again once we got home that afternoon!
As long as Alison's buddy Max doesn't interfere with school, my plan is to just ignore it as much as possible.
