So Brook was born w/ a PDA and an ASD. Echo at birth. Echo at 6 mths said PDA had closed. Echo at a year, ASD still there but shrinking. Don't come back till 2010. Sence Brooker lost her insurance, we went a week or so ago. Echo said everythings the same. Said it was compramised due to (insert doctor term for wiggly and talking though it)
Is this common to have a great life w/ a small ASD? Should I go see the heart doc and not go off the results Dr tami gave me.
Confused?

Hmm. I don't know. She sure is doing great for now. Will it not heal over time?

Christopher's closed up on his own, but was watched very closely with his Heart Doc. His closed up a bit odd and created a leak that they are still now watching closely.
Maybe call the heart doc and explain your situation with insurance and maybe the heart Doc can call whoever did this most recent Echo and have them send him a copy. Is Dr. tami a heart Doc cause if not who read the results of the Echo Brook had?

Dr Tami is just Brooks ped. Her heart doc read the echo and then called Tami. I just don't know how comfy I am w/ the results when doc said echo was comprimised from wiggly, talking Brook. I thought she did her best.
I'm still waiting for cardio doc himself to call back.
How long did it take to close CC?

If Brook's heart doc read the echo I would be OK with that as long as you are OK with the heart doc, KWIM
When Christopher was very young and Hmmm lets say not that cooperative about laying completely still during the echo they too would mention wells it a good one considering... they just kept doing them, KWIM.
Honestly I cannot remember his exact age when I was told it had completely closed, I will try and find that info for you girl. I do believe Chris was 7/8 when I was told yes its closed but closed oddly and he has a leak we will have to keep an eye on due to how it closed.
Best of Luck girl and it just kills me that you and your gal don't have health insurance. No one in 2009 in the USA should not have health insurance, just not right.
BTW not sure I ever got back you on this but my bro who too could not afford health insurance he lives in NY state and the state has a program that all kids can and will be covered. Not sure if your state has anything like that?

I signed her up for healthy kids. It will start in 2010 I believe. I sent in all the papers. Come to find out the Aux benifits are just like SSD so I might have a beter shot. My premium won't be too much either I hope. Another cool thing is Doernbeckers will bill me anytime I need to go there. Yeaaa And like always, my doc will send me a bill every three months. Also, her reflux meds that are $125.00 will qualify for a 60% discount at Safeway too. Super yeaaa Tami said she has never seen Brooker have blue spells and she is very active. I'll just keep an eye on her. What concernes me most is heart issues w/ sleep apena. Don't like that much at all.
