samantha had to have a bowel sample in for childrens to do a test on the sample to see if her pancreas is working correctly. well the test results came in about the first week of sept and they { the lab } did the wrong test. i am not sure if the nurse for the doctor wrote it out wrong but someone messed it up.
well we had to go have the test done again. this time they are suppose to have it right. the results are not to be in untill about the 3 week of october.
i just hope that we will not be responsiveto pay for both tests for childrens. sue

Well, that just stinks!
As long as the lab made the error and did the wrong test you do NOT have to pay for what ever they did do. Problem will be if the docs ordered the wrong test, then unfortunately you would be responsible. If that happens, be sure to give the docs a call and see what they can do about getting the charges reversed since it was their error to begin with.
I deal with this kind of thing frequently at work - I work in the lab at a local hospital - and often times if the docs screw up we will bill them for their screw up instead of the patient.
But if the error is on the lab's part there is no way they can make you pay for their mistake!'
Good luck!
