So the ENT finallllly called today. Apena only a little better. Brook had no 100% quit breathing episodes just 8 little bit episodes in an hour. Sats got as low as 89% and thats not real bad, she says, not me though She ordered a chest x-ray (Wonder what for? Can't believe I forgot to ask) and a blood test for Iron. She said they noticed Brook twitches alot in the night and it could be due to low iron. Then I remember Hubby has a blood problem w/ low iron at every blood draw and also twitches alot. Hmmmm... Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? She said if the iron is low, there are some med's. If that doesn't help she will want her on oxygen for sleeping. We'll see. Doc apt is Friday. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Your timing couldn't have been better. I finally got John into see a developmental ped. at University of Michigan. One of her specialties is sleep disorders. While we wait for him to get into the sleep clinic here, she tested his blood to check for low ferritan levels, which is related to the way iron is able to be used in the body. His iron levels aren't too bad, but his ferratin is really low, so she put him on a liquid iron supplement. It tastes terrible, even though we had CVS flavor it. However, he takes it every night, and for the first time in years and years, he sleeps all night, in his bed. When I wake him in the morning he is in the same spot I left him, under his blankets. The bed no long looks like it has been ransacked. It is a miracle. He is so much more rested, and as a result has an easier time falling asleep. Look into this for Brooke. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!

Yea for the blood draw nurse, Jodi. She got lots of blood from The Brookster. We're just testing all blood labs while she was able to get some blood on Friday. We also went for her xray. Is there any expert xray lookers out here? They looked kinda funny to me as i've never seen one. The top was all clear but the bottom was all cloudy looking. The tech said it was b/c she wasn't inhailing all the way. Hmmmm... what do you think?
