Hi, I sure havent been around here for a long time, but, I thought I would come back and ask if any of you have experienced your kids developing fears of anything and everything. Cassie has fears that just come on out of no where. I was dusting the other day, she starting crying, plus doing things in the kitchen, vacuuming, even putting cream on my legs. Tv shows will set her off, even her shows some times. Not sure what to do about this.

Sarah is terrified of butterflies. She absolutely freaks out when she sees one. She isn't an anxious kid but has developed unreasonable fears every now and then.

Funny Chris... Lewis is also scared... actuallu TERRIFIED of Butterflies and moths, especially if they are flying! I guess the flighty movement is too unpredictable for him to cope with.
He is also scared of the dark.
Sandi, I think kids will develop various fears as they grow, some rational, some not. They eventually get over a lot of them, and some will stay.
All just a normal part of growing up and shows they are becoming aware of their environment and that fact that they can only control some of it.

Brook used to be scared of the ground. Try and put her feet on the grass, hay, dirt etc.... freeeek out! I took her camping for a few days and if she wanted to get from point A to point B, she HAD to walk. Heeehheee Mean ol' Momma She was not scared anymore. All of a sudden though she is scared of the lawn mower. She will absolutly go bonkers! I hope she outgrows this soon too. The grass needs mowed

I wish Stevie was scared of some things *sigh* Not irrational things - just dangerous things. The kid has no fear and that scares her momma.
