First let me tell you all that I have been here reading comments and suggestions for a while. For those who don't remember me we have a son named Adam who was abused in school and we took it to Human Rights with nothing being done.
Adam has been diagnosed with OCD but it all of a sudden got worst in his pre-teens. He just turned 13. We have been doing homeschooling for the last 10 mths and the aggressivity seemed to have diminished and also the swearing.
He started to swear last year and became distructive at school and there answer was to put in an empty room for 2 and 1/2 hour a day with 2 adults holding on to the door so he would be able to get out. It broke my heart again to enter into school and hear him screaming and kicking the door. His hair was all wet and he was screaming " Let me out for F''' S'''. I asked to see the log books and this had become a regular daily thing for them to do.
But now he is again starting to swear and flip tables, throw things (whatever is at hand reach ) and we haven't been able to determine what sets it off.
The only thing we have noticed is that he has an obbession with things in front of him on tables, like glasses, bowls and so on. He has even flipped tables in restaurants.
We have been working with a behavior therapist that comes into the home once a week and all was goign so well, no more swearing, outburst and such. We had thought him the differnce in emotion and relaxation breathing and such.
All of a sudden it is starting again. Yetserday when he tried to flip the kitchen table he seemed to get into a full rage without warning, he just flipped the table (there was a cup on the table) then when I tried to restrain him to do his breathing and relax he scratched my arm to blood and kicked his dad and still flipped the table.
He is now 140 pds and I am so afraid he will hurt himself or someone un-intentionally as when he does this rage thing he doesn't seem to know what is happening around him, after he is calmed down yesterday he saw my arm and said " sorry for bobo mom"
Got to get him assessed but it takes forever to get an appoinment for a physch evaluation, we are told next April for now/
Does anyone else have a child with obssessive behaviors or we are thinking tourettes syndrome
Thnaks
