Well I posted this yesterday but it disapeared. I saw it, then it was gone. If this is a double post and its just me who cant see it, let me know. Computer could be having issues LOL LOOK AT THIS TOOTH!! It is giant. The doc said it's the biggest tooth he's ever taken out of a little girl. It was sooooo infected it ate away some of her bone. They preformed the same procedure they did on Mary to make the bone grow back. What is it with these girls and their jaw bones???

OMG! it's huge! How's she feeling? Was there any pain? Kathleen lost a tooth last night. She just pulls and pulls until it comes out, she ahs a very high pain threshold and she hates loose teeth. Mary Grace

Oh my!!! Does it have a fused root? OUCH!!!!
About the high pain threshold: Angela's neurologist at Mayo says that kids with DS have fewer pain receptors. So, it's not really a high pain threshold, but they're not even feeling the pain, because the lack of receptors means the pain isn't being registered by the brain.
He did NOT back this up by any study or anything, just told me that when I asked why Angela never reacts to pain. And...Axel who came home from Serbia with a mouth full of abscessed teeth doesn't react to them AT ALL!.

I didn't know that... I've always blamed it on her strokes. I guess it may be a combination of both for her. I've seen her pick at her finger until it bleeds, and once she pulled a tooth out that really wasn't ready to come out. She just pulled until it came out I couldn't even look it looked so painful. She also has had sores on her feet from her braces and didn't once complain. She just say's "I'm fine". Mary Grace
