Just wondering if anyone is planning on going to San Antonio.
I made our hotel reservations, on a waiting list for the Marriott, definitely in at the Holiday Inn 4 miles from the Marriott.

We were on the waiting list, but already received our call from the Marriott. So we are in too! Now, to make flight reservations and wait for registration.
Jackie - it will be hot, but remember the convention a few years ago in Kansas City? Over 100 every day, even the pool was barely refreshing.

Ha Sharon...I was born in Kansas City and lived there again for college and 3 of my 4 kids were born while Ed was in med school there. Amarillo is high and dry...a desert climate. I can FEEL the humidity when changing planes all the time in Dallas but Austin and SA are every bit as humid as KC was...so be prepared...must say ...dry is my preference. We just got back from seeing Em in Austn and frankly at this time of year the mild humidity felt great...way too dry here at home. Anyhow I plan to stay iinside in A/C. ;D

Jackie, you would think having lived most of my life in the deep south, that I would be accustomed to the humidity, but for some reason that trip to KC stands out in my mind. Maybe because both girls acquired a 24 hour stomach bug, and we spent Friday night and Saturday in our hotel room and missed that day of the convention. I just remember even the pool on Sunday wasn't refreshing. Anyway, we are looking forward to it!

YES it was HOT...I remember because I was having trouble switching blood pressure meds and the ones I was on did not agree with me at all and I felt like I was in LaLa land the whole time and afraid everyone would think I was weird or on drugs...LOL. That walk on the crosswalk to the exhibits felt like it was 5 miles long to me.

I had forgotten about that walk, it did seem like forever! The Marriott this year looks absolutely beautiful, very nice facilities. Looking forward to it.
