Well, things have been going smoothly for Kaelyn, although last month she had strep throat and then the flu! She still loves school, but they got a new girl this week, who is the youngest of like 11 kids, never been in daycare or anything, so she screams for her mom the whole 3 hours she is there. Kaelyn has "sympathy cries" and will start crying when this girl does. It kind of upsets me because Kaelyn has been perfect since she started back in September and now this little girl has thrown it off. I hope the new girl adjusts pretty quickly!
On the 2nd my husband led an R Word campaign at his school and there was media coverage. It was awesome. Then that Friday we attended the opening ceremonies for Special Olympics and were presented with a t-shirt signed by the athletes for what my husband did with the R Word campaign! Now we are signed up to do a tv interview in June for Children's Miracle Network when they do their telethon. We did that last year too, but hopefully Kaelyn will smile this time!
Kaelyn is still crazy about music, dancing, cupcakes, iCarly, coloring, reading, Elmo, and recently got into Team Umizoomi and the movie "Coraline". She loves to play "ponies" (where we sit and brush the hair on her my little ponies). She loves to go to the park or shopping or just get out and do anything. We took her to the zoo over spring break. I think she enjoyed people watching more than the animals!
