I have been receiving a lot of calls from Lauren's school lately. They are having a lot of problems with her and we are having a few of them at home. I wanted to see if any of you experienced the same around this age. She is crying A LOT and she is very angry a large majority of the school day. She stomps her feet and she is just not wanting to follow directions. We have been working with positive reenforcement. I am at a loss now. I just wanted to come and see if any of you experienced this around the age of 12 starting at puberty and if you did what did you do to help them?? Renee'

Jackie Thank you. I just bought that and the one on sexuality. Jen, thank you for the hug. You don't know how much I need one.

Yes, I have had this in varying degrees with all three of my typical girls at this age. The worst so far is still having trouble at 15 with the crying. I do hope that Stevie, when she gets to this point, handles it better, but it's probably an empty hope.
So I will add my {{{hugs}}} to Jen's and remind you of two things: (1) because our kids are individuals, the best course of action will be very personal - specific to that girl's individual needs, strengths and weaknesses; and (2) this too shall pass.
Best wishes...

Well I am a male and have hit puberty and I think from my opinion that she is just stressed out. I know I am!
