Welcome to Uno Mas! ! ! I'm so glad you're here!!
We found out that our daughter, Emily, had Down syndrome just 3 weeks before her birth. She is 19 years old now!! Uno Mas has played such a big part in our life with Emily over the last 10 years or so. It is a wonderful place to share our joys, our concerns, and to ask questions from those who might have experience with what we're going through.
Looking forward to hearing more about your family welcoming your new baby into the world!

Hi, Yes, welcome to Uno Land. Probably not what you had planned but hope you like it here. Think you'd also be welcome to check in with my friend Nancy Iannone's downsyndromepregnancy.org/ Maybe some useful resources there, and Nancy would be happy to meet you too. Hope you and yours are all doing well. Cheers, Bob (who has never been pregnant, so why does he think he should give advice to pregnant women? can just hope his wife doesn't find out)

Welcome to Unomas! I found out Sarah would be born with Ds when I was 18 weeks pregnant. We knew she had an AV canal defect when I was 20 weeks pregnant. I also had gestational diabetes. Lots of info and doctor visits!
I wasn't expecting her to be such an easy newborn. She never cried and slept through the night at 3 weeks! ;D
Congratulations on your will be here before you know it little girl!

Thank you all again! Everyone has been so kind and supportive on all the posts Ive read, I had no idea I had this to look forward to! Its amazing! Chris, Sarah and I have the same birthday! She must be amazing he he jk! I am due 9/4, my cousin who I also share a birthday with keeps trying to talk me in to keeping her where she is until the 10th lol Im thinking not so much! I was diagnosed with diabetes too. Healthy to insulin dependent in less than 6 weeks! I always dive into things head first, I guess this pregnancy is no different! lol But I feel great! So far ultrasounds show no evidence of anything physical (knock on wood) Im trying not to focus on cognitive now worrying one is going to outweigh the other. How is her heart? have you had many problems managing the AV canal defect? Seanybear, how old is your child with DS? I should welcome you too then!
