as leader of our local DS support group, I resigned. Have some family (read teenager) issues going on that really are time consuming, and I wasn't giving to the group what it needed. And now, I think I was just burned out some also. Now that I have officially handed everything off to the new prez, and sent out my final email to the group, I am much more relieved than I thought I would be. So now, I am just going to concentrate on my family, and when I go to DS gatherings, just be a participant!

Sharon it is often hard to give up the jobs we have held...but sounds like you wisely made a good decision. Our families MUST come first. It will also be good for the future of the organization to develop some new leadership from within. But I am sure they will still need and want your advice. I hope it works out both for you and for your group.
