we have been snowed and iced in for a few days but ...yesterday late got a call from someone outside of our studio and he wanted one of my paintings. Ed was home and he trekked up there and also sold a print of Emilys...she is excited about that one. The arts program made some more of her art into gift items which you can see at Zazzle www.zazzle.com/arcofthearts

Ha Susan...hardly...LOL. We just decided to get it for her early so we could work with her on the settings and all. She has had a iTouch for years but this is a bit different. I am still not sure how to fully use MY iPad. Good thing is that Ed is really the one doing it and learning about it so now he will be able to help ME more. He is also interested because his group is switching from the PC to the iPad for their electronic med records sometime in the Spring and he will be getting the newest version of the iPad 2.
Of course she loves it and is already more adept than I am on it. Must say the facetime feature is going to be fun for her...and me too as soon as Ed gets his.

We had a great Christmas. After worrying it would be a bit of a bust with just the 3 of us ...turned out to be one of the best ever. Mother Nature certainly helped by giving us a beautiful unforecasted White Christmas. Gorgeous snow fell all day long and didn't stop until we had over 6 inches at nightfall. Ed and Em slept in like old folks...and I finally made them get up around 10. We drank mimosas and opened our presents and then had a brunchy lunch around noon.
My sister and BIL were in Dallas for 2 days and flew back in just in time for dinner with us and a friend down the street. Great brined turkey and all that goes with it to finish off our day. Streets were not impassable so everyone made it home safely...it was just perfect. If you missed it on FB go to my profile to see a pic of the day.
Hope everyone here had a nice one as well...read about many of you. Sad to say Em has to leave Friday night...boo hoo...but we have had some nice painting time out at the studio. She loves the iPad 2 and knows more about operating it than I do.

We had a wonderful Christmas too! We decided in November that we were going to spend considerably less this year than in the past...........and coincidentally, Emily wrote out a larger (and more expensive) Christmas list than ever before!! As I shopped, I kept feeling concerned that she was going to be disappointed on Christmas morning. And, just like always, she was thrilled with every gift. She has always raced over to whoever gave her the gift and nearly knocked them down to hug them and say thanks. This year was no different. And, she never mentioned that she didn't receive at least half the stuff on her list. Whew!!
So glad you had a white Christmas, Jackie. I would have loved that!!
