We finally got some results from Boston Children's Hospital. The biopsies showed that the celiac and Crohn's are under control. But the colonic motility test showed that her large intestines had practically no motility throughout. even after trying to directly stimulate with something like dulcolax. We're going to try a drug called Amitiza (just waiting for insurance approval). Of course I did what I probably shouldn't and looked it up online. Fro some people it workedand for others it was aweful. some of the more mild side affects being headaches, nausea, and dizziness. If this doesn't work the only alternative is surgical. He also gave her a script for a pain med. which of course has it's own list of side affects too ironically one being constipation. So we are to use it "wisely". We call back in 2 weeks to see how it's working. Mary Grace

Googling usually isn't best. Glad that there's another drug to try, and hoping you get insurance approval soon. Just remember, they're required to list every possible side effect . . . most people don't experience any of them. Please keep us posted! Kim, Logan (Ds, 9) and Carson (6)

So far the only difference I've seen is that it's even looser than it was. Still pain, accidents, exhausted, and bloated. Not going everyday. She didn't make it to school today and she came home early yesterday. I'm waiting to hear back from the dr. Spoke to someone in the office eysterday about whats going on. Mary Grace
