Happy New Year to everyone. I apologise that I haven't posted in a very long time (although I've read posts). You may remember Kathleen's GI issues she's been dealing with for quite some time. Celiac Crohn's and a motility dissorder resulting in cronic constipation. In early November it got very bad. she was unable to even gt out of bed and unable to go to school. On 12/12/12 she had cecostomy surgery. Here's a link if your unfamiliar with the surgery www.hopkinsmedicine.org/healthlibrary/test_procedures/gastroenterology/cecostomy_135,17/ She's been recovering slowly but steadly. We're "tweaking" her flushes and she's starting to feel better. She went back to school yesterday for half days and no PE class. She's been in bed fro so long she's still not steady on her feet and gets exhausted very quickly. It is nice to see her getting better and smiling and very happy to be back to school. She recieved hombound schooling for the month of December and will most likely get some tutering while we do half days. It's been an extrememly long and painful road for ehr but at elast we can see the light now. Mary G.

Yes, sounds like it was a very rough road getting there but finally on the road to recovery, found something that is really beneficial. Hope you and Kathleen are in for a much better year this year. -- Bob
