I really miss Uno...I know most have moved to FB but my Emily is also there so I have to be careful what I say...I miss my friends here and I notice there is interest by some new posters in making this work again. Any thoughts?

I miss you guys too! I've been wanting to post an explanation of what's been going on with Casey the past few years and haven't had the heart to do it. Doesn't exactly fit in with the overall theme of being an uplifting site and all. Facebook just doesn't feel like the place either.
Just getting caught up on what I've missed here. And then I will try to write something that explains what's up with Casey. Maybe someone else out there is struggling with similar issues; which is truly the theme of Uno Mas, right?
Well, not sure if anyone is still reading, but 'Im in.'
Much Love, Michelle

Hi there, I just rejoined. I was here a few years ago when my son was around 6 or 7 under the name Kellie. I have been hanging out at Down Syn Index for a long time. I have seen a couple of you there. I don't do FB either. Glad to hear there are other people out there who don't. I decided to try here again. Nice to have more than one place to go. Different people different experiences. Glad to be back. Would hate to see this site go down.
My son is 11.

I really miss UNO...and I thought we had decided that it was ok not to pretend all is a bed of roses with our kids...It is not with our kids who do not have DS. FB is too public to really talk about issues.

There are some things that just can't be posted on facebook. I like facebook because I can keep up with my sister and nieces. I have five and my oldest niece had a child a few year ago. His name is Harper. I can keep up and see his pictures along with my sister and her girls. It is the closest I am able to be so I can see what is happening in their lives. And one of my doctor's is having a rough time with cancer. I like to see how he is coming along. Facebook is good for that, but, for some personal events or happenings I don't feel comfortable posting on there. It is nice that I can post some of my personal life on here to hopefully help others.

Debbie you are a great person to share and you are good at answering questions, too from parents. Glad you are back. Jackie
