Just a curiosity question, because it seems to be one of the other things I hear a lot. Ethan LOVES to trick or treat, but won't touch candy. He also won't eat cake or ice cream.
He LOVES chips, but just won't touch the other things we consider dessert like candy, cakes, cookies, etc. What about your kiddos?

Logan will eat M&Ms, some small (bite-sized) Hershey bars, and some fruity gummy candies. He loves cake and iced cookies but won't touch most other desserts. He'll sometimes eat Doritos or barbecue chips. We just figured he's picky . . . almost everything he eats came as a result of lots of effort. It's hard to put effort into desserts and chips, lol.

Sarah loves cake and cookies but doesn't eat candy. She will take a couple of licks off a sucker or eat a few M&Ms and she is done. She got tons of candy for Halloween and didn't eat a single piece of candy.

Forget Jimmy Kimmel, Lynn and I really do eat Charlie's Halloween candy. But we don't eat it all, just anything with gluten. Charlie will eat most candies. Peanut butter cups, which would send his older sister to the hospital and are forbidden at his school, are one of his favorite foods. BTW, glad to see that moderators are still cleaning up spam on this site. -- Bob

Andrew won't touch anything sweet. We eat all his halloween candy too Bob! Andrew also LOVES to trick or treat. I think he likes that more then Christmas. He waits all year asking..."trick or treat"..or...."Happy Halloween?" On Halloween he refuses to come home until his pumpkin is full with candy, then walks in the door and throws it on the counter...never even looks at it again. He really needs to get out of this habit...I think I've gained 5 pounds already and the candies not even gone yet!

Same with Ethan, he ADORES Halloween, and thinks trick or treating is the bomb. Last year, he had us laughing so hard because after every house, he'd stop at the curb, look in the bag and say "I got a rock". LMAO!! Can you tell he likes the Charlie Brown Halloween movie?
His candy kind of gets split up, whoever wants it, eats it. He has ZERO interest in it. LOVES potato chips though, so he gets chips and a Coke when he gets home, and he generally isn't allowed to drink pop.
