Well, a while back I posted that I was asked to give a presentation to college students graduating from Special Needs educators, about little tricks of the trade to use for integration and working with a child with special needs. I was really scared as I posted before, I felt intimidated by the whole thing as I do not have the education that they have. I do give presnetations to grade 8th in our district. But dealing with grade 8th students is a lot different then with adult. At least I thought so before. ;D I did 19 presentations this year and have one more to go. Well it went terrific. When I saw them taking notes I realized that I was actually more educated then they were when it came to what to do, like teaching to lift the hand to talk, integrating with peers and so on. They even bought me lunch at Red Lobster. Well just wanted to let you know that I did it and I am glad too, as these future teachers will now have a few tricks up their sleeves to help a special needs child. Some actually ask for my telephone number and e-mail address in case they needed some info once they start teaching. WOW!!!
