HI Again, Thanks for the welcome. More about Pooja! She was born in India, we came to know of T-21, when she was 7 months old. had never heard of it/seen it in our family and friends circle. It was too overwhelming to take in everything at once. Dr's response wasn't favorable, one in particular wanted us to forget about her and have another one right away. , we were so blessed to have found a job here and started fresh. We've had our ups and downs with the school team regarding placement,Pooja had some major behavior issues(couldn't handle being a big sister) and a 1st grader ;D She is settled now, is happy to go to school, earn her pennies, is a major T.V. buff , reads at an early 2nd grade level. is o.k in math too, adds 2 digits, carry over well, counts by 2's,3's,5's and 10's. learning to tell time, helps mom with household chores when in mood and has recently started volunteering at our local library every week. She sees a speech lang. pathologist,as her speech is very delayed. Most of all she is the most sweetest person and the best sister to her brother. She loves him too much. We certainly have our moments with her every day, but it has been o.k. My son,a typical 3yrold, loves to play with his sister's barbies, give them haircuts...., keeps me busy, so yes Iam a busy housewife. We feel real lucky and feel the grace of God, had we been back home i can't imagine what our lives would have been??? Iam glad I coud share all this with you all. thankyou
