Emily called us last night...didnt even wait until 8 for her free minutes. It was weigh in and measure day at her gym ....AND.....she has lost another 10 lbs and 4.5 inches!!!!! All told she has lost 49 lbs since she joined last November....We are all sooooooo proud of her...but...wish she would cease sending her shed lbs to ME..... ;D

WOW.............what an inspiration!!!
To me, Jackie...this is a HUGE deal. I sort of associate this to what happened when I went away to college and was making all my own choices about eating, exercise, etc. And I can say that it was all toooooooo easy to use food as entertainment (we'd eat at the university cafeteria and THEN go to Taco Bell and on to an ice cream shop!), and made so many horrible choices that I packed on the weight. It was tooooo easy for me to do while being away from those who loved me enough to remind me to STOP eating.
So, WTG Emily!!! She's doing a fantastic job of weight loss and everything else associated with living so far from home. I know you're proud!!

Wow, that's awesome - WTG Emily!! I know how hard it is to struggle with weight "issues" and that's a HUGE accomplishment to lose 49 lbs.
Congrats to Emily!

Jackie that is so amazing!!! Please let Emily know what an inspiration she is! She must be so proud!!! I myself feel as though I'm starting to find some of that weight I lost while I was pregnant, and that was one of the toughest diets I was ever on. Not going to try that nine month one again! LOL! Way to go Emily!!!

Thanks all...and here is an interesting story............
This morning I called her gym...got the name of a florist...and arranged for them to deliver flowers and balloons to the gym late tomorrow to be there EARLY...Like 7 AM Wed..when she arrives.......I talked to the florist....a guy (close to my age I would imagine)...He visited a bit with me ....and......durned if he didnt tell me HE has a brother who is 60 with DS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He came up with the sentiment on the card too...."Congratulations........weigh to go.......SKINNY"
;D Small World ....isn't it?
