Well, we had our five month ultrasound yesterday. So far, things are looking good. The early ultrasounds to measure the nuchal transluceny and nasal bone were excellent, and yesterday's looked at a comprehensive list of things, all of which were fine.
At this ultrasound they measure the length of the femur and humerus, and shortened bones can mean DS, but those were measurements were very good. Strangely enough, we were most concerned about the heart and the digestive system. At the risk of sounding like a big coward, I don't think I would have any trouble at all with having another with DS, I would just be thrilled not to be dealing with any major heart surgeries. We dodged that bullet with Ethan, and I have so much admiration for those of you who have gone through that. Your strength and courage are amazing.
So, we are just hanging tight, and I'm eating right to take care of the "caboose", which is how we refer to the baby. The last car on our little family "train", LOL!
We chose not to learn the sex, for now, as it is still fun to talk about both boy and girl names. I'm still looking for good ones, so if you hear a great one let me know!

Laura - glad all went well, I think of you and our other mom-to-be (Jessie) quite often! Well, if we're not gonna know the sex, then we get to have a good poll at your due date! We'll leave it up to MB to post it when you're ready :-D
re:names - I often think about what I would chose if I were to have a 3rd. Nicholas is one of my favorite (and I know you already have one). Otherwise I would chose James, i think.
I have many more favorite "girl" names and wonder if I would go with another "M". A current favorite is "Meredith" and I love Maggie too (but it's too close to Meghan). Nicole Simone. (no good w/ the Nicolas). Mikayla, Kayla and Kylie are all faves of mine too.
Again, happy baby blessings and thanks for the update! laurie

Laura what wonderful news!!! Didn't here from you in a while and was getting nervous! Now it's your turn, let the madness begin. How about Betty if it's a girl? I have to say I was almost tempted to get pregnant again just so I could name her Betty b/c Betty&IansMom tried so hard to get me to use her name! I felt slightly guilty for not.
Stay well & comfortable!

Glad to hear everything is going well. Veronica would have been Ephriam if she was a boy and I really liked the name Hazel(but I lost the vote on that one.)
I love the nickname too very cute.

Laura, So glad to hear the appt. went well. We also had our 5 month ultrasound and a level 2 ultrasound within the last week. I know exactly what you mean about the heart and digestive system concerns . . . they were our concerns, too. Like you, everything looks good for us so far. That's enough for us -- we're not willing to do an amnio or other invasive tests. We know we're having a little boy, but we haven't picked out any names yet. Our due date is Oct. 2. Once again -- what great news. I totally understand what a relief it is to hear the dr. say that things look good so far! Kim, Logan (27 months), and baby (due Oct. 2)

First, Laura I'm sooooo happy things are going well - hope the migraines have subsided some for you. You are much stronger than us when it comes to finding out the sex of the baby. We can't wait!
Kim, that is an adorable picture of you two!!! Keep us posted on your baby progress too.

So glad to hear that everything is looking good for our babies!
As for names, if any of mine had been boy, he would have been Jeremy Martyn. Not much help on a girl's name, we had a heck of a time coming up with Alison Celeste our last go round!

Sounds like everything is going wonderfully!!! YEY! You know, as for names....I think Ethan and Aidan sound GREAT together!! hehe I wanted to name my little girl, Parker, Maura...but with our last name, when you put the names together...it sounded like you were saying "more or less"! I couldn't have that! haha My DH and I fought for MONTHS on her name, we just couldn't agree with anything! We finally agreed on Alison Parker...but we agreed when she came out, she just didn't look like an Alison, so we call her Parker. Annie, Jared Andrew is a great name! Congrats on your little boy and I can't wait to see him! May you have a easy labor and delivery!! Good luck! Staci

Thanks Christine!
Actually, Thomas has come to our hometown for two weekends for each of the last two summers . . . .and he's coming back this June. If you're close to southeastern Indiana, he'll be here June 17-19 and June 24-26.

Glad to hear that all the "moms to be" are doing great. I know when I had my son who is going to to 2 soon. We, chose not to have an amnio, but we had to know the sex. At that point we already had 3 girls.
As far as names go.....I love Lindsey Fay, Kaylyn Ciann, Sadie Elizabeth boys names I liked were.....Evan Michael, Andrew, Bailey, Alex
Hope you have a easy delivery. My last one weighed in a 9 pounds 5 oz. and 21 and 1/2 inches.. C- sections is not something I recommend. LMAO.
