Adam's first teeth came out all pointy like little fang. They fixed the problem and he then had perfect teeth. We took him for his routine check-up an the dentist realized even though he had lost his 2 front teeth, one on them was fully grown back and the other (that was lost before) was still not coming out. He took an x-tray and guess what their is no teeth coming out there. He said DS children sometimes have this problem. Either too many teeth or not enough. Just wondering if anyone else had that problem with their kids teeth?

Hi Claire....oh no to Adam's dental problems. I have heard that our kids can have either way too many or not enough, one of my students has a full set of teeth, BEHIND her first set. Is there anything they can do for Danny so he has two front teeth that you know of? I know when Chase lost his eye teeth I thought they would never come in, took three years before we saw a tooth and finally they are here. hugs, Robin

Claire-Kaylee is just starting the process of getting braces...according to x-rays she is missing one permanent tooth and the dentist would like for her to have an implant after she turns 18 or so. I'm hoping the price on that comes down over the next 8-10 years!!

My daughter has the problem of having too many teeth. They are crowding each other and this makes them very crooked. Her dentist said as one of her baby teeth falls out he'll pull one. He said about every other tooth she looses he'll pull one. He will do this probably too when she gets her perminent ones in. This will reduce the crowding and hopefully reduce the chances of braces. But then again if she takes after me she will have crooked teeth anyway Take Care! Amy

Derek is missing both his eye teeth on the bottom. He had his 2 top front teeth pulled a year and a half ago and they still havent grown back and when they do I dont think they will both fit as the space is very small. He has teeny little teeth, although that is probably good cause he has a teeny little mouth too.
Hugs

This is definately one area where we have been very lucky so far. Paige has all of her teeth, no extra, no missing, so far. The dentist says that if she got all of her primary with no problems, then she should get all of her secondary with no problems. Lets hope!!!
The only thing about her teeth is that they took FOREVER to come in, but they all seemed to come at one time.

Thanks a lot for your help. I guess we have to wait and get something done later. It just looks cute now with a front tooth missing, but it won't be cute for long.
