Hi all sorry to post this here but my nephew (non-DS) was just diagnosed w/ this condition (morphia/morphea) and I was wondering if anyone has any experience w/ it or knows anyone suffering from it. Morphia is a horrible skin condition - an autoimmune disease in the same family as scleroderma, but it's usually not fatal but not nice in it's own right. thanks - and again sorry for posting this in the wrong spot laurie

:-/Laurie, I don't have any knowledge of this but wanted to tell yo that I'm sending a prayer up for your nephew and his family. One thing they DO have is a Laurie in the family; you are a wonderful Aunt!!

Laurie~ First of all, I'll be thinking of your nephew. I'm familiar with scleroderma, but generally I see it in the last stages in my elderly patients. I'm sure you have already looked up info on it, but a quick search showed this: www.sclero.org/medical/about-sd/types/morphea.htmlKeep us posted on him, Susan
