Hey Everyone
Just wanted to give a quick Evan update. He is doing very well these days, we had a bought of pnemonia about a month ago that required a one night hospital stay, it developed from croupe while we were is Disney World. He had a great time in Disney, we actually took him on Dumbo and the dinosaur ride he loved it...He has been growing and gaining weight very well. He is averaging about 3-5 oz a week. We have started him on a glyconutrient supplement and feel that his weight gain and health have been helped by it. I know I posted a while back about it and we were contemplating but we decided to do it (both his Ped. Cardiologist and Pediatrician agreed to try it). He has been taking it for about a month and we have seen a big difference in his eating habits and overall mood. We firmly understand that this supplement is not a cure for DS like some doctors and other proffesionals think, but it just seems like he is benefiting from it all around. I have included the link on the product that we are using, I know it is pricy but a 50 gram bottle of powder will last us about 3 months (1/4 teaspoon twice a day). We have just been mixing it with his food (it is colorless and tasteless).

He has started aggresive speech therapy and we are learning sign language with him, he loves to babble and babble (gets that from his mom). They think because he babbles so much, and when you are talking to him he focuses on watching the movements of your mouth that his speech might come easy to him (we are hoping this is the case).
Anyway just wanted to update, I am going to upload some more of his pictures to the new photo album site.
Take care
