Yosh's surgery went very well. The doc had to take out half of his liver, but he says it will grow back in a couple of weeks. Isn't the human body amazing?
Dh and I are taking turns sleeping at the hospital, tonight is my night at home. Tomorrow we'll both sleep theresince its Shabbos and we can't drive. The hospital has a separate room we can stay in. I think I've slept about 3 hours since tuesday night. Last night Yosh was up every 20 minutes, even on morphine. I know he's going to be ok, but when he's not crying, he lies so still. This is his 4th surgery and is definitely the hardest on all of us. As much as I'm looking forward to sleeping, its so hard being home without him here. It reminds me so much of when he was first born and we were waiting so long to take him home.
I'm going to stop now and try to sleep again. If dh knew I was still awake he'd kill me. Thank you for your prayers and good wishes. I won't have another chance to write until sunday, but I'll let you know then how he's doing.

I am so glad to hear that the surgery went well. Many blessings and prayers going out to you and your family. I know I lost a lot of sleep when Justin was recently in the hospital.....being a single mom trying to juggle time with him at the hospital and time with my kids at home. Try to get rest for yourself....he will be back home soon.

Thanks for the update! I know that you are talking about "not crying, he lies so still". When Luke had stomach flu we spent one night at the hospital, that was hard to watch our little son being so not him... Hope for a speedy recovery and coming home back soon. Prayers are send for your family. Hugs, Alice

Yosh is HOME ;D ;D ;D ;D
He was discharged this afternoon and all is well. Right now he is sleeping on Dh's chest. Its amazing how the absence of somone so little can make a home feel so empty. And how he fills it up the minute he's home.
The dr. was amazed at how quickly Yosh recovered and so are we.
Thanks to all of you for your prayers and good wishes.
