While I was getting Chris ready for camp this mourning, I noticed he was all clammy and looking kind of spaced out Hmmm I was thinking, mind you I was not really even wide awake yet. I thought geez its not that hot in her Hmmm Then the little Character points to his heart and tells me "DOCTOR" So I go get the Stethoscope and wouldn't you know his heart was going 220 I tried the Ice Treatment on his face for 1/2 hour with no success. Off to the ER we go, I felt soo bad for Chris. We get in the room and within seconds there were no kidding eight people in his room, all over him hooking this hooking that and they had to put an IV line into him to get this med they shoot in that way that actually stops your heart, kind of like a jump start, first dose didn't work so they had to do it again and BAM heart rate stopped and BAM went from 220 to 85 and then Chris looked as if he was gonna vomit. Doc tells me the meds make him feel that way for a moment and from the heart racing so and then back to normal so quick, its an odd feeling for him. We were in and out in one hour, how cool is that ;D They use to keep us forever, to observe Chris after the rate came back, but they now know Chris and once his heart rate is back he is OK to go ;D He was such a trooper and too funny at one point out of all the eight people working on him he looked at this one lady that walked in and told her to go LOLOL Guess he didn't like her OMG to funny. She says to Chris, you talking to me? you want me to go? and he says "YES" So she left Hmmm good thing it wasn't the Doctor he didn't like LOL Anywho ALL is well now ;D but you know guys this has been going on for 11 years now and I never really get use to it and breath sooo much better once we are on our way out the doors ;D THANK goodness for ALL the GOOD medical people in this world. they truly are Special People in my book CC

Awwwwwww hugs to you Christie. I hope and pray you never get used to it! I'm sorry Chris (and his parents) has to go through this from time to time. What a wonderful thing that he is able to tell you it's his heart, and that he needs the doctor. He's growing up!!!

Oh CC!!!! WOW, what a day is right! You got me teary eyed!!! You know, in reading the post, I was just SOOO thrilled to read that Chris KNEW and told you what it was!!!! What an amazing boy you have!
I don't think any mom would ever be "use to" it... thats just part of being a mommy. We care and worry and love and that's just the way it is... Chris is very lucky to have you as his mommy!
I am glad all went well! And LOL to him telling the one gal to leave.. he obviously knows what he likes and dislikes... TOO FUNNY!
Hugs to you and Chris!

Wow, CC, excellent communication skills and pretty good diagnostic. But circumstances way too scary. Maybe there wasn't anything particularly offensive about the female medical person Chris asked to leave. Maybe it was just her number was up. Maybe he decided he could tolerate 7 medicos working on him, and she was number 8. That's some guy you've got there. So, what's the cumulative effect of 11 years on this on YOUR cardiovascular system? All the advice books agree that you also need to take care of yourself. Regards, Bob

THANKS guys, it is a bit disturbing while it is happening BUT YES I am sooo proud and happy my "little Character" can now tell me when this is happening For years he could not and it was always a guess and very scary in case we didn't guess right The Cardio has now uped his meds cause this has happend a few times this year so hopefully with the new amount of meds it will be a loooooong time before we go thus this again Bob you asked " So, what's the cumulative effect of 11 years on this on YOUR cardiovascular system? Hmmm can we say HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE I was very proud of how Chris handled this situation even thou he asked the one lady to "GOOOOOO" LOLOL Just goes to show you that our kids are like us all and certain people we just might not want around and this lady OMG it was pretty clear Chris did NOT want around, LOLOL CC

CC... I know how you feel about being excited about communication...Even the littles things make me so HAPPY!!! I am so happy that Chris was able to tell you what is wrong and that he needed to go to the doctor. But, about telling the nurse to GOOOOO....I had to laugh!!! Because last night while we were at karate with Gray a lady was playing with Collin and teasing him. He pointed to her, then pointed down the hall and told her LEEEEEAAAAVE....I about died....not sure if it was embarassment, the fact it was so funny and cute or the fact that he used a word that I didn't know he knew and the woman he told to LEEEEAAAVE actually understood him.... Hugs, Connie

Wow girl, I just read your post, I am so glad Chris is okay, no matter how many times you tell us this happens, my heart races and I get all teary eyed!!! I feel so bad Chris has to deal with this but thank God he does such a great job! I guess his communication skills are good enough for him to get his thoughts out, ROFL, he reminds me alot of Chase (and Collin) they say exactly what they mean ;D Chase embarrasses me often by telling people "you go" most often these days when they are in line AHEAD of him and he wants them gone and out of his way! We need to do lots of work on that one! Anyways, hug that child close for me and tell him I hope this dont happen for a long long LONG time! BTW.... I read all of your thread to Dave so he could hear what happens to Chris and he wants to know why we havent met you at one of the get togethers yet.....I told him you dont like people named Dave ;D hugs, Robin
