9/13 - Just thought I would add a quick update . . . the surgery went well and Logan is now home. He only had to have a tube inserted in one ear, and he FINALLY passed his hearing tests! Yea!!
Logan's scheduled to have tubes placed in his ears on Monday. The doctors think that he has fluid in his ears, even though he's never had an ear infection. He has, however, "failed" three hearing tests. After the tubes are inserted, they'll be doing a hearing test of some sort while he's under anesthesia. I know it's a "minor" surgery (and I'm very thankful of that) . . . but it's still scary. Please keep us in your prayers.

Kim - will keep Logan in my thoughts and prayers...meghan had the same surgery and circumstances (never an ear infection but fluid behind the ear drum) In fact, her surgery was 3 years ago today...we were leaving the hospital just as all the stuff was happening in NYC.
anyways - i was so nervous too...but Meghan did great! and the tubes helped, I think (they're out now). best of luck and many prayers. laurie

Kim~ I'll sure be thinking of (and praying for) Logan. I'm glad you are doing this. My daughter now has mild hearing loss and the docs think it is a result of having fluid on her ears years ago.....she never had symptoms of an ear infection (well, only one or two) so it was never diagnosed. She never had tubes, and I keep wondering if she would have this hearing loss if we'd gotten tubes to keep her ears dry. Who knew back then? Best wishes to Logan on Monday! Susan

Logan will be in our thoughts and Prayers. Justin was the same way he failed his first two hearing tests and no history of ear infections unless you count his very first one which was in both ears the day of his hearing test, T-tubes were put in when he had his T/A. They are both out now and no problems knock on wood, they lasted 2 yrs for us.
