Barb, since I know that Alison too was born with imperforate anus and we have discussed in length the problems that we have experiences with these surgeries. I was wondering if Alison has had trouble switching from formula to milk. Gabe was on Isomil Advanced as a baby and every time I seem to introduce whole milk, well we end up with diarrhea and what seems like bad belly aches. Would love to hear your thoughts on this, and how Alison is doing. Thanks.

Hi Kim!
Sorry to say that the only problem we've had with Alison and whole milk is that she just won't drink it!!! I'm having to be very sneaky about getting it into her..... still using baby cereal and mixing that with milk a couple of times a day and fortunately she loves yougurt and cheese so that's another way we get milk products into her.
Alsmost sounds like Gabe has a lactose intolerance. Was that why he was on Isomil? If so he may still not be able to handle all the lactose in whole milk. Do other dairy products cause the same problems - stuff like yougurt or cheese or ice cream?
I see you just posted this so if you read this and I'm still logged into Uno try to do the old Yahoo IM if you have that!
