I was wondering if anyone else can relate to the bottle issue??? Lexy is 15 months old and still doesn't hold her own bottle. I know she can but she won't. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy feeding her for she will be big sooner than I'd like to think, but I'm starting to think it's time. Does anyone have any advice? I know sippy cups should be brought in soon but how can she do a sippy when she can't do a bottle yet? She feeds herself crakers, cookies, etc but not a bottle. Thanks for the advice.

When Logan learned to hold his own bottle, we used small, individual Gerber juice bottles with a nipple on top. The smaller size really seemed to help him out a lot. A standard nipple fits on the juice bottles just fine (as long as you don't use a wide nipple such as Avent). Another trick . . . we put a mixture of juice and water in the bottle the first few times. He really liked the taste, so he was a bit more motivated.
Hope this helps. Kim Logan - 3/6/03 - DS
