Dear friends at Uno Mas, One more post today if you would....my 3 yr old daughter, who does NOT have DS, has had trouble with her digestion for over a year now, probably more like 2 years, I finally insisted that she was tested more thoroughly and she came back positive for Celiac Disease, or allergy to gluten. Wondering, have any of you had your children tested for this? Did you have a biopsy done or other? I have had her on a gluten free diet for about 3 weeks now and no change. She still has stomach pain, and loose bowel blow outs which smell SOOOOOOOOO bad! She doesn't eat much and is very very petite. Any advise or experiences with this guys? Thanks again so much!! I love Uno MAS!! Sincerely in Jesus, Debby K

Sorry Debby... It's been a while since I was on the board. Chandler has Celiac. I think only one other child on the board has Celiac. Chandler is now 6, but was diagnosed over 2 years ago. He first had the blood testing for IGA antibodies. Those test came back elevated and then we had the biopsy done. Feel free to email me any questions you have.
After 3 weeks, you should have noticed a difference by now. Are you sure it's Celiac? Also, gluten is in so many things. It is VERY possible that she is still getting gluten from some hidden source. Oh and when beginning a gluten free diet, it is recommended that they also be lactose free for the first week or so.. Anyway, if you wanna call me at work one day, my # is 800-345-8929 x. 422 (8-5 central)
