Other brands of little boys pants (4-7) that have "cinch tabs" in the waist band inside other then Levi's and Dockers??? We have SUCH a difficult time with pants for Russell. Levi's have ALWAYS worked best and now they have those cinch tabs... makes it MUCH better for us... I had a pair of Levi pants last year and we have a pair of Levi shorts too. The pants are too small now though (short I should say). I love his little hiney in the Levi's but I would like some variety other then jeans. And I don't know if Dockers I would do EVERY day or that often... So.. I know there are other brands, I think, that does it... does anyone know? I wish Gymboree did it.. or maybe they do but not in the pants I bought Russell for school. MIL bought him a pair of pants a while back that were size 4's from there, so I bought him two pair from there and they are BOTH too big and long. The pair MIL bought him had a sewn in belt and those pull strings on the ankle of the pant.. so I guess that is how THOSE stayed up better LOL... So the new ones are falling DOWN...like always I NEED some pants for this boy!!!! We've tried TONS of brands... I need those cinch tabs!!!! A.

A. We have the same problem. I do beleive Target may care some and also Kohls carries a few different brands that have the cinch sides. There is a style of Lee's that have them that I just love. Our problem is Collin's short little legs!!! He needs the 4's for the width in the waiste but...the legs are so so long. Connie

A. Have you tried Osh Kosh? I've been buying their toddler sizes for Ethan, because some of them are adjustable. Osh Kosh has something they call "Adjust to Grow" in lots of their pants, and they have a good selection of stuff other than jeans. Here's a link to some of the boys pants in sizes 3-16. www.oshkoshbgosh.com/productselection.asp?did=705There are two pages of pants, better yet they have a good sale going on right now. Make sure to check the second page, because they have some clearance items at a great price. Just a note of caution, before I started checking things really carefully, I was fooled by some pants that looked like they had a drawcord waist (sweatpants) and it was a fake tie. Look for the Osh Kosh ones to say they have full elastic and a drawcord waist. That's a REAL adjustable waist.

Oh Thank goodness I am not the only one. I can't find ANY pants to fit Lauren. She needs an 8 but they are WAY to long. So I take them in and have them cut off. The girls pants are too tight in the waist. we need to come up with a line of clothing for our little ones.

Gap may have some pants with the adjustable waist. I know Marissa has a Gap skirt like that.

Sears does...or they did. Kids Advantage or whatever their own brand is? And a nice thing about sears is if you join their Kids Advantage club (it's free) everything you buy has a 'lifetime' warantee on it (if you save tags and receipts) They'll replace anything if it gets ripped, buttons pulled off, and I think even soiled!! anyways - hope this helps...meghan is so narrow too and only Lee slim and gap slim fit her, but i'll be darned if i'm buying gap pants for her to ruin in school each day!! thank goodness girls can wear leggings! laurie

Hey guys.. thanks for the suggestions! I think I will take a look at the oshkosh stuff... we have an outlet near by too if they have any there too!
I also belong to the Sears Kid Advantage club.. I am actually not that far away from my goal... I always forget about there close there for the younger two. Regan is 11 and we don't shop there (saying that with Regan's NOSE in the air LOL) and also their pants don't fit Regan...
Oh.. and Lee jeans... I will look at those. The ones at Walmart? OR doens't Sears carry that brand too?
We have kinda the same prob with Russell with the legs and belly thing. He still is small and skinny but his belly HAS filled out some over the past year or so. So, it's rough.. we are RIGHT in between a 4T and a 4. But... more than brands, I just have to look at the waste, that is why I am trying to find more of those cinch tabs.. then they could last a bit longer. Most 4T's and 4's are WIDE in the waste.. WHY DO THEY DO THIS? That is why the Levi's work... but I realized when I just bought him some new pants I did the reg 4's instead of the 4t's... and they are the reg ones so they fall off of him and are long... so I figure if I can find cinch tabs in regular 4's, I wouldn't be opposed to cuffing his pants. I am not a fan of buying bigger and rolling up the bottoms, but with jeans and some of them, it looks ok.
Thanks for all the info!!!

Oh good, OLD NAVY too! I didn't realize they went to those for the toddlers. I LOVE Old Navy but Regan can NOT wear their jeans there They are not slim enough for her ever) so we haven't gone that much to Old Navy the past year or more. I will ck out Gap too! You guys keep saying Kohl's.. I am going to have to take another look there, because except for the Levi's, I haven't found any other. I will check the Union Bay stuff. I love their style.. just a bit pricey sometimes. THANKS Guys! A.

I love Old Navy. Almost all of their pants and shorts have an adjustable waist. I usually buy Ben (age 5) a size smaller (because of the length) and then adjust to the largest waist size. This has been working pretty well for me so far.
Good luck Sue

The Gap carries them and so does www.PleaseMum.com They have wonderful clothes for kids that are very reasonable but are Canadian. They have lots of elastic waists which I really like, wonderfully soft cords and great sweats and jeans. I posted this link before and someone from here ordered and had very fast shipping and was very impressed with the clothing. Check them out.... They have a HUGE sale on right now. Hugs Allison

I went to the Old Navy sight... lots to choose from which is good. I also went shopping with MIL this weekend and went to Gymboree. MIL LOVES that store, I do too but I buy on sale, she doens't LOL. She was picking Reece out an outfit for her bday coming up and I asked the gal if they had any of those adjustable waist pants and they only had ONE pair of jeans. Nice pair though. So.. of course, MIL bought them for Russell and a shirt and the cutest Jacket because after about 3 yrs he has FINALLY grown out of his jackets LOLOL.
Gymboree said that they do it more in the girls pants then the boys.. which is good too. I wish they had them back when Regan was Reece's age. Reece and Regan both are so skinny that stuff falls off of them too. Thank goodness for Capris! LOL
Thanks for the Canadian clothing site.. I will have to ck it out... I love a sale!!!

I have the hardest time buying pants/jeans for BOTH of my kids! They're both at an odd stage. Aidan has a big 'ol belly but a really skinny waiste...he's still in 24 month pants. Parker is a skinny minnie right now (the girl don't eat!) and all of her drawers are droopy. Old Navy is the biggest hit with both of them. When you say cinch tabs...do you mean an elastic band or is there something else out there that I'm not aware of?? Inquiring minds want to know! Staci
