oops...entered the subject...the got a message saying "flood detected"? and the post just posted itself.....wow ...and its still three more weeks til Halloween...spooky.
Anyhow....just got a cell call from Em that she and Katie and Hayden are on the road....and will be here about 8:30 tonite!!!! Em says she is excited to see our new house which we have been in a whole 6 days now.
Funny story....Norine who she works for in the Houston area ...had a meeting in Austin this week so drove Emily up with her saving her a plane ticket. But the meeting was in North Austin and Katie lives in far South Austin....so they decided to leave Emily at the Omni Hotel so my son in law could pick her up after work. She called me from there on her cell and said Tony was meeting her there in about a half hour in the lobby. But....when Tony got there...Em was NOT in the lobby....and he found her in the ....bar....nursing a Bud Light!!!....LOL
Can hardly wait to see her....she has lots lots of wt from the latest pic they sent.

That's great Jackie. I'm sure you must be very excited to see her. You and Emily are such an inspiration to me and I'm always telling my husband about how independent Emily is. Mary

We had a terrific visit...not nearly long enough....and Emily slipped and said...at one point ...she was excited about going home (meaning Seabrook)....and have to admit at that moment my heart broke in two...LOL...but....then I realized...she is 24....and she finally has a LIFE.....but ...one...oh soooooo far away..... After a weekend of kids and grandkids....I am sitting here alone today....dead tired ....tears in my eyes.....and just counting the days until Thanksgiving.....so I will just keep on feeling sorry for myself....for the rest of the day.........................but in reality...what a Lucky Lucky woman I am. Awwwwwww Jackie.......really bittersweet!!! I can imagine how excited you must be to get to see Emily and spend time with her and how sad it is to say goodbye....at the same time how proud you have to be that she is doing SO well!!!!! It's really exactly the reason we work so hard as parents to help our kids be independent....so they can move away and show us what they learned! But, I'm secretly hoping my Em will want to be independent right down the street from me!!! Susan

Thanks Susan, Now I feel really silly!!! I some how missed all the posts after the initial one! But, I am really excited about seeing a picture and I would like to know...if, living in this new town and all this weight loss has brought on a new boy friend because we have not heard (or I've not seen) anything about ELVIS lately!! Nope Connie....the one negative in Ems life at this point is....NO romance...but Norine and Kim (her job coach/case manager) have told me...they are working on this. We havent seen Elvis in quite some time actually....he developed some emotional problems over a year ago and they have sort of taken him out of the picture. Emily DOES have a good friend....Travis....who has DS and claims her as his girl friend when she is in town and she really enjoys HIS attemtion...but she is 700 miles away from here now so needs an "interest" there.
I think her self improvement has come from her work...her four days a week at the local gym....and the people in her life encouraging her all the time. She also feels she has a REAL life now that she is on her own so to speak.
