yes, fruits and veggies naturally have water in them. That is just how they are So you can get "hydration" in various forms.. not just water and juice. A.

My daughter only drinks milk and water. She will only drink juice if it is another child's juice box. Funny kid.
Others have already hit on my suggestion. I don't see any benefit of training an already plump child to drink juice. Why don't you offer him watermelon or some other fruit or vegetable? It would fill him up and hydrate him. Many years ago, I learned at Weight Watchers to eat the whole fruit and never drink the juice. Juice usually has a higher calorie count anyway and you don't get the fiber.
Just keep giving him water. I would also get tough about the whole milk. If you only give him 2%, he may be mad for a couple of days but he will get over it. Then you can do it again with 1%. I'll tell you the truth, we haven't made it under 1% becuase I don't like 1/2% or skim.
