I noticed in your post to Cbean your doc is Dr. Pueschel. The same Siegfried Pueshcel that wrote a book on DS? THAT is the book I have.. the one that he wrote. Do you like the doc? I love the book!

The small world that it is...I am also named Lisa and from RI and also see Dr Pueschel!! I just emailed LisaRI. I am dannysmom. My son saw Dr Pueschel a few weeks back. What an amazing man. He is brillant, kind, understanding...I couldn't say enough wonderful things.

A He's the BEST!!! ;D He is also my older daughters doctor. Kasey(20 y/o) has Phenylkentonuria ( PKU ) and Dr. Pueschel has been her Dr. for that since birth!

Now THAT is trippy!!!! That is cool that you see the same doc too! His book is a very positive book, I bought it when Russell was born 7 yrs ago. Glad you like him!

ok.. I didn't see you posting when I was posting Lisa RI! That is cool! Makes me want to meet him! LOL

Yes, he gave it to me when he came to the hospital. I have almost finished it. He also gave me "You will dream new dreams" That one is great too. One interesting thing he told me was Emily Kingsley who wrote Welcome to Holland is a personal friend of his. He gave me that poem in the hospital along with the books and it touched me and my husband so much at a time that we were so dazed and confused (we didn't know my son was going to have ds)we changed my son's middle name from Nicholas to Holland.

I am also from RI so Haley meets w/Dr. Pueschel every year! Now my newphew is a patient of his! Dr. Pueschel is awesome. Not only a Dr. - I believe he has a law degree and is a black belt! Started karate w/his son Chris and continued after Chris passed. I beleive Chris died of congestive heart failure. He was Dr. Pueschel's right hand man - you always saw them together at the Buddy walk or Christmas party.
