than I thought. Damara did pretty well and she just loved her Dentist. Even though she cried when he was flossing her teeth, once done, she blew him a kiss and said "Thank you"! She just stole everyone's heart there! Her gums are better than expected, no cavities and do not need to return for 6 months! She does however, have a "very large/thick muscle connecting " KWIM? I forgot the name of it... Anyway, most likely will need to be "clipped" once all her perm. teeth are in, but ....overall...very happy with how things went!
Sorry so long for an update, I for some reason couldn't post on this site for a while! But, back up today...YEAH! ;D

Fantastic! It makes all the difference if you like your dentist - and love, well, that's even better!

YEAH! ;D Wow, Damara made it seem like a piece of cake, and I was wondering how that appointment went for her...but I'm interested in the extra thick part you're talking about...not sure I understand. btw: maybe you can post here about some of the tricks the dentist used to make the appointment smooth sailing and less tramatic for Damara? Jelani throws a fit if anyone even comes close to him to look inside his mouth Love the kiss she blew goodbye, how precious!

The muscle I'm talking about is...if you take your tongue and stick it between your upper teeth and lips, all the way up you will feel a little muscle that connects the two. Hers is from the top of the gums and connects right to the bottom of the gum. I'll try to take a photo so you can see it. It's very hard to explain...sorry I'm not better about this.

It's called a Labial Frenectomy...I believe that's how it's spelled...

I know where that is. Mary fell off her dirtbike and cut her's all by herself Why do they want to clip it? Just wondering?

Hers is very thick and goes from the top of her mouth to the gum/teeth line. It is very large and will likely affect her perm teeth placement/spacing. But they will wait to see once the perm teeth start to come in.
