Okay, I'm in the mall Thursday searching for shoes for my teenager when I decide to stop at a make-up booth located in the middle of the walkways. Soooo... there was a young mom with a 3 year old daughter, and the daughter was very very naughty! She was hitting, grabbing, running away, throwing things, grabbing 10 tubes of open lipstick at once... etc. The mom was being really patient with her but nothing was working. So... and I don't know why, I asked her if she would mind if I gave her some suggestions (and that I have had difficulty with my own child etc). She was completely fine. I asked her what she had that might motivate her daughter to behave. She said (as she was holding a game boy) "I have this, and I told her I was going to throw it away". I asked her if she was really going to follow through, and she said "no" (of course). So I suggested that she not let her play with it for the rest of the day, and then stick to that. I also got to talk to the little girl a bit. Okay, I think I've been watching Super Nanny too much LOLOLOLOL!!! We parted ways and I actually felt like I may have helped. Now the funny funny part - I got home and there was a big note from the teacher with TWO RED SAD FACES - Ryan was a very very naughty boy at school that day!!! Oh... I know so much!!! Jodi

LOL Jodi! But you DID know what you were talking to with that woman, and probably really did help her a lot. I'll bet she's glad she ran into you!

Very funny, Jodi! Oh, well, maybe you truly helped the other woman, and maybe SHE will never see a red sad face again!

Jodi,
I think you did a good thing by helping, I wish sometimes when my kids are hanging out of the grocery cart pulling stuff off of the shelves that someone would offer me some insight.

See, you do know, but your kiddos just like to keep you grounded!
