I would like to share a very interesting and good story we had yesterday. My middle son (with out DS – 15 y/o) was on the sofa watching TV (waiting for the snow storm) to long, as he needed to finish his homework. After many times I asked him to turn off the TV and go into his room (he ignored me), I came up to the TV and manually turned it off. He turned it on by using a remote control. I turned it off again, and he turned it on again. That would probably continue for some time, but suddenly Luke (with DS – 6 y/o) took the plug off the wall which cut off Boris from using the remote control. After that Luke looked at his brother with very wise face and he could talk, it would be: “Boris, stop playing with mom, go into your room, and finish your homework.” You should see that faces ofall of us!! We all were so happy and proud by Luke! ;D What a smart guy!!! And I forgot to tell you that Boris went to his room to do his homework right away. Good job, Luke! That is so good example to give our children with DS credits.

Oh, Alice! That's a cute story! I was reading along, got to the part where he unplugged the TV, and thought, "Wow! I would have never thought to do that! I'd still be turning it off over and over again!" He's quite the thinker!

That is so cool. Very smart thinking on his part. I know the challenges of those teens....my daughter will be 13 next year and we are in the throes of this stuff now....testing major limits. I hope my youngest, Justin, can teach the older ones some lessons in life like that.

I wish my little one would unplug the TV, I can't get her to stop watching Signing Times. She goes to the remote and points it at the TV and yells, "Bah, Bah, Bah". I think that means turn this thing on NOW!
What a great story!
